Tape Body Art
Made famous by The Black Tape Project, this art form has progressed from the fringe to walking the runways of major fashion events.
The tape can take many forms including acrylic (common electrical tape), metallic, and iridescent. Tape types such as duct tape are excluded because the adhesive is not skin safe.
Allergic reactions are rare but a patch test should be performed if someone has never come into contact with a particular tape's adhesive.
Depending on the design, application can take as little as 1 hour for simple acrylic line designs, or as long as 4 hours for metallic "fleck" designs. The largest and most complex designs typically involve an application team of up to 4 people.
Please enjoy my favourite photos! Galleries are along the right side and images of each of my designs are below.
If you are interested in collaborating on body art and costuming projects complete my application form that provides a list of concepts from which you can select those that interest you.
