I primarily work with models, artists, and photographers in collaborative TF (Trade For) arrangements on projects that are of personal interest to me. New models and photographers, however, may be in need of more basic services. Below you will find my standard package rates for basic training and portfolio development services for models and photographers.

In all cases, 50% must be paid in advance to reserve the agreed-upon time and date. Payments may be made by Paypal or Interac eTransfer. No refund will be provided to clients who do not show up for the session or cancel with less than 24-hours in advance. In the rare event that a session must be cancelled by the photographer or makeup artist a full refund is provided.

The safety of clients and the photographic team are my primary concern in any portfolio development and photographer training session. To ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience, you are encouraged to bring a trusted friend (escort) to your session. I can often find some way they can take an active role in the session, even if it is as simple as  providing encouragement.

To help in selecting someone to bring with you, here are some qualities of the ideal escort:

- Someone you trust.

- Someone who is an enthusiastic supporter of your endeavour.

- Someone interested in photography in any capacity

Negotiable Conditions

Makeup fees can be waived if you can provide your own makeup artist. Please be aware when choosing your own makeup artist that the difference between a good image and great image can come down to the skill of the makeup artist.

Fees include studio rental but a discount can be negotiated if you provide your own location. Travel is limited to the Ottawa/Gatineau area, which includes Kanata, Barrhaven, and Orleans.

If you think you have a concept that might enhance my portfolio then we can discuss possible a collaborative TF (Trade For) arrangement in which we co-own the final product and share any costs associated with the photoshoot. In these cases I also offer to promote our collaborative work among the local model/photographer community.

Non-negotiable Conditions

Rates for artists and models are non-negotiable as they are services contracted out to other professionals.

I require that all participants in any session be at least 18 years of age.

I reserve the right to refuse any location that may pose a risk to any member of the photographic team.

I reserve the right to report any illegal activity.

I reserve the right to refuse any proposed concept that is demeaning to individuals (particularly women and minorities), promotes hatred or abuse, or involves cultural appropriation.

I will not tolerate physical, sexual, emotional, or other abuse of any member of the photographic team.

I do not do weddings, family portraits, or pet photography.

As specified in the Copyright Act, I am automatically assigned copyright of all images I create. In collaborative arrangements the copyright and "moral right" (the essence of the image) is jointly-owned by all members of the collaborative effort.   In paid arrangements, use (not copyright or moral right) of the images is licensed to the client. See Photographers and the Copyright Act for more information.
