This group aims to bring together small groups, typically in a studio setting, to learn and explore all aspects of model photography. The emphasis is on lighting and posing models. Meetups range from general portraiture, fashion and portfolio to glamour, boudoir and artistic nudes. Depending on the host, the light may be sophisticated studio lighting, natural light or a combination. There will typically be a cost for these sessions to cover model and studio fees, and some hosts may include an honorarium. This is a special interest group and you must be accepted as a member and remain active. While there is no fee to join this group, members must be a paid up member of the "Ottawa Photography Meetup" in good standing.
This group was created to bring photographers of all skill levels together in order for them to share ideas, exchange information, and to help them develop and refine their photographic skills and techniques. Some events are more instructional, while others are more for portfolio building. Check the event details for more information about the theme and goal for each session. The aim of these meet-ups is to have only a small group of photographers per shoot, giving more time to each photographer for instruction and shooting. These workshops cover a variety of topics.
